This home was built on a 20m by 20m site. The new home was built in a DCP meaning we had to comply with the The Residential Design section of the Character Code meaning that the façade needed to compliment some character elements by use of traditional building materials or use of contemporary materials with traditional character applications.
Our client’s brief was for a home as contemporary as possible, a tough ask in a DCP area however we managed to successfully obtain the Development Approval (DA) for our client. The final product meet both the clients expectations of a contemporary home and the design guidelines of the Character Code – a great result for all, you would not mistake this home for a “Character” home.
Other features included a roof top deck on the third level that enjoys 180-degree Moreton Bay and island views.
